Spurs Pay Their Respects To Elvis “Star” Browne

On Thursday 30th September the team along with various male and female teams of numerous age groups of the SKNFA paid their respects to the legendary Elvis “Star” Browne at the Anglican Church wearing their football jerseys. The ceremony to celebrate the life of this legendary player/coach lasted over two hours at the Anglican church and proceeded at the Springfield Cemetery where many songs were sang as Mr. Browne was laid to rest. Giving Back To The Community

Players and staff of the UDC Garden Hotspurs Football Club paid a visit to the Irishtown Primary School to donate school supplies to 50 students attending the school to commemorate the clubs 50 years of existence. The supplies were handed out to the students by both players and staff, the Irishtown Primary School is the local school of the community of McKnight and has been the breeding ground for past and current players of the club. New Garden Hotspurs Football Club Executive Elected

The UDC Garden Hotspurs Football Club elected a new executive for the next two years. The membership elected as President, Mr. David Penny (Dabo), Vice President David Debeson, Secretary Sheridane Warner, Treasurer Lennielle Warner and the Public Relation Officer, Mr. Selwyn Liburd (Rusty).

The new executive will meet on September, Tuesday 12, 2011 to appoint members to complete the management team. At that meeting the Head Coach, Manager and Technical Director will all be known. Continue reading →
